EMMA PUTS PROPOSAL TO CONVERT GRIMSBY SHOP TO RESTAURANT ON BACK BURNER

A PROPOSAL to convert a Grimsby shop to a restaurant now looks unlikely to go ahead - at least in the near future.

Cleethorpes woman Emma Cozens submitted a planning application to North East Lincolnshire Council in respect of the premises at 176 Sutcliffe Avenue.

Employing two staff, she  had previously sold cold snacks and cakes, but wanted to explore additional options, including the provision of hot meals, in the wake of the pandemic.

However, it is understood her application has now been withdrawn.
