THEY'RE JUST NOT WELCOME - NO ROOM FOR BADGERS AT HUMBERSTON FITTIES CHALET PARK

Full steam ahead on badger eradication project

BADGERS enjoy maximum protection under wildlife laws, but that does not spare them from persecution.

Work has been continuing this month to eradicate  them from a bank that runs through the Tingdene-owned Humberston Fitties chalet park.

Ultra-tough wire mesh is being installed to prevent the  after-dark burrowing and excavating activities of Mr Brock and his family (or families).

A network of CCTV cameras has also been set up to survey numbers.

The likelihood is that the badgers will now relocate to other parts of Humberston where residents lawns may come under threat.

Clearing the way

Ready for wire mesh barriers to be laid

The solar-powered cameras should  be able to detect the little fellows in black-and-white coats
