There something magical about horse riding on Cleethorpes Beach - not just for those on board but also for the onlookers. It is the sound of cantering hooves on sand as much as the sight of the riders appearing from out of the mist. This quintet and their mounts - along with the haunting cries of the shorebirds - certainly helped lift today's mid-December drizzly gloom.
