BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY - ESPECIALLY OUT ON CLEETHORPES SALTMARSH

Before we go further, we'd better check with mission control

YOU can never take too many precautions - especially  on the saltmarsh.

Halfway out, there is a muddy path across the centre of it. This leads to the famous beach 'alamo', but there is one major hazard.

Awaiting is a steep-sided creek that is not visible almost until you are at its edge.

If you are spring-heeled, you can jump it. But misjudge your jump and you can end up wet, bruised and possibly with an injured leg.

It seems this wise couple decided it was better safe than sorry - especially just before Christmas.

They thought about the water jump - then, on second  thoughts, decided to head back to where family and friends were anxiously waiting.

Let's get back to the path - wise decision!
