WHEELS TURNING ON PROPOSED NEW OFF-ROAD CYCLE ROUTE FOR CLEETHORPES

A stretch of Taylor's Avenue has been earmarked for a new cycle route

GOOD news for cyclists - a new off-road route is in prospect for Cleethorpes.

The plan is for one section along Taylor's Avenue  between Hewitt’s Avenue roundabout and the Trinity Road junction

The second section would be along Hewitt’s Avenue between Low Farm Roundabout and the Peaks Lane junction.

However, before a final decision is made, North East Lincolnshire Council has commissioned a feasibility study.

It is not clear what the engineers will be investigating, but  their work - which  will start next Monday June 22 - is expected to take four days to complete.

There will be no requirement for temporary traffic lights nor road closures.

As ever, NELC’s regeneration partner, Engie, will be managing and overseeing the project which is to be undertaken by another private contractor, Brigg-based CLS Survey.
