The Queens Parade property could be converted to flats |
THERE has been a re-think on proposals to convert a house near Cleethorpes seafront to a seven-bedroom hostel for offshore windfarm workers.
The change-of-use plans for 21 Queens Parade were approved just before Christmas by North East Lincolnshire Council planners despite objections from neighbours fearful of noise, parking congestion and other nuisance.
But now a new application has been unveiled for the property to be converted to three apartments.
It has been submitted not by the hostel applicants, a Leicestershire property firm, but by Tealby-based Laurence and Max McKay.
As of today, the duo's scheme had not sparked any objections.
The proposal is due to be considered shortly by NELC planners
* The property is often known as Christ home from the time when it was a retreat for spiritual leaders.
