EXTRA-HIGH WEEKEND TIDES ON CLEETHORPES FORESHORE - BUT ORCHID MEADOW IS SPARED

The abnormally high tides over the past few days have brought the sea well over the Cleethorpes saltmarsh and close to the edge of the foreshore nature reserve. Fortunately the buttercups and marsh orchids have safely survived.

Sections of one of the foreshore  footpaths have been submerged or made soggy - making life unpredictable for some walkers and cyclists

I’ve caught one - a beach angler, near the leisure centre, prepares to examine his catch

What could be more serene and tranquil than a summer evening on Cleethorpes Beach?

And, overhead, these passing swans survey the scene
