NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD - PARTY OF SNOW BUNTINGS 'SHUTTLECOCK' INTO CLEETHORPES

A party of about 25 well-camouflaged snow buntings put in a brief appearance on Cleethorpes sand dunes earlier in the week. The birds breed in Siberia but come south to Britain and other parts of Europe in winter. They are sometimes known as 'shuttlecock' birds because of the white in their plumage and their flighty behaviour.
