CHANGES are afoot at a well-respected Grimsby-area residential home for moggies.
Mr and Mrs C. Clayton have signalled their intention to scale down their Mill View Cattery, off Brigsley Road in Waltham.
The nine pens in the stable will be retained, but the couple have submitted a planning application to change the use of another part of the cattery premises to a two-bedroomed dwelling.
Their project also encompasses proposed construction of a single-storey rear extension to include roof lights and various internal and external alterations.
It is understood the couple are looking to reduce the number of feline guests ahead of their retirement.
The proposal is currently under consideration by North East Lincolnshire Council with no decision expected until summer.
The stables, incidentally, are no longer used for livery - they merely accommodate the applicants' own horses.
