TREES AND SHRUBS CLEARED TO MAKE WAY FOR NINE-BUNGALOW DEVELOPMENT IN HUMBERSTON

Trees and shrubs have already been felled to make way for the development

TREES and shrubs have been cleared to make way for a prospective new housing development in Humberston.

The proposal is for nine detached bungalows - seven of them chalet-style - to be built on land on the northern side of Forest Way.

As of this weekend, the identity of the applicants had not been revealed, but the agents are Ross Davy Associates who describe this as a sought-after location close to shops and other amenities.

In advance of the application being determined by North East Lincolnshire Council planners, much of the greenery has been cleared, sadly  to the detriment of birdlife and butterflies.

The agents say a protected species survey was carried out and that "biodiversity enhancements can be included" if this is to be a condition of  any planning consent.

The scheme is likely to be determined by planners in summer.
