ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL FOR STRICKEN PLEASURE ISLAND DEER

Get me outta here! The frightened deer was temporarily wedged in security fencing

THERE was mid-morning drama near Pleasure Island  today.

A couple walking along the bank at the edge of Buck Beck spooked a deer which sprinted off, then became wedged in the former theme park's palisade security fencing.

Fortunately, the animal's distress was not prolonged.

The alarm was raised railings and a crew from Humberside Fire and Rescue was quickly on the scene.

Using cutting equipment, an officer was quickly able to rescue the deer which scampered off, slightly bloodied about the face but apparently not too much  the worse for its ordeal.

Below are some of the scenes from the incident.
