North East Lincolnshire Council has rubber-stamped a plan by Lorna Farrington to change the use of the detached garage in the back garden at 25 Brookfield Road.
Her venture will also involve replacing doors and windows and making various internal and external alterations.
This area is predominantly residential, and the property benefits from a modest front
garden with off-street parking available.
To the rear is a large garden with the garage and
landscaping.
No comments - at least officially - have been made by neighbours.
In granting consent, planning case officer Lauren Birkwood comments: "As the operation of the proposed business is confined to the rear of the
property, the impact to the character and appearance of the area is likely to be minimal.
"The council's environment officer does not object or have any concerns with the proposal
in terms of noise, disturbance or odour issues, subject to conditions."
However, just in case unforeseen issues crop up, the officer has made the permission temporary - for just 12 months - though the applicant will be able to request an extension if if all goes according to plan
Parking will be on the site, and customers will be on a strict appointment-only basis.
Opening hours will be limited to: Monday to Friday 09:00hrs to 18:00hrs; Saturday 09:00hrs to 12:00hrs.
Miss Carrington has not yet revealed what name (if any) she will give to her grooming business.
