THE CLEETHORPES PREMIER INN PLEDGE - MORE FLEXIBILITY WHEN YOU NEED IT (EVEN FOR BIRDS!)

Look carefully - it's up there on the left!

A READER did well to spot the birdie on a stroll along the beck that runs behind the Premier Inn in Cleethorpes.

The west side of the building was both providing it with  shelter from the cold wind  that was whipping in from the sea and also providing a vantage point for it to look out for  rodents, insects or other potential prey.

The wise bird was later identified as a kestrel - the  commonest raptor species in North East Lincolnshire.
