PLAN UNVEILED FOR FIVE SHELTERED HOUSING PROPERTIES NEAR CLEETHORPES ALLOTMENTS

The grassland site at the rear of Campden Crescent houses

A SCHEME for five sheltered housing properties is on the cards for a patch of underused land in Cleethorpes.

The organisation, Foresight, has earmarked the site, which is at the rear of Campden Crescent,  for provision of rental accommodation  for "disabled and vulnerable members of the community who wish to access affordable housing to live independently".

One of the properties will also be occupied by an onsite warden.

Access to the site is facilitated via the existing vehicular access which runs between 132 and 134 Campden Crescent and serves the existing community hall which is owned by the applicants.

Agent for the scheme is the Dieter Nelson Planning Consultancy  which says the existing community hall, along with its car parking provision, would be retained.

To the south west are allotments.

The intention is for existing site boundaries  formed by fencing and hedging to be retained.

The proposal is currently under consideration by North East Lincolnshire Council's planning department.
