This inquisitive seal was a high-tide visitor to the rock armour whale's tail off Cleethorpes north beach at the weekend. It made a few tentative attempts to clamber on to first the rocks, then the sea wall steps, but thought better of it and swam off. The creature provided an unexpected spectacle for a couple who watched its antics with delight.
