COUNCIL SEEKING REASSURANCES THAT ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL ARE NOT MISSING OUT

The Knoll on Cleethorpes seafront - its offices (and a cafe) provide a focal point for Armed Forces personnel past and present

THERE are thousands of current Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families living in North East Lincolnshire - but are they getting a fair deal from local public services?

In the coming weeks, they will be invited to complete a survey by NELC.

Explains Cllr  Ron Shepherd, portfolio holder for safer and stronger communities: "We are constantly seeking ways to  help the local armed forces community.

“While procedures and initiatives have been put in place by service providers, we want to be reassured that no member of the Armed Forces Community is suffering any disadvantage in accessing public services.

“I would encourage veterans, current service personnel and their families, and organisations to check out the consultation and have their say.”

To take part in the consultation, visit www.nelincs.gov.uk/have-your-say

The survey closes on 28 April 2021.

For those needing to ask any questions or seeking to complete the survey via telephone please telephone 01472 324860 or send an email to tracy.frisby@nelincs.gov.uk.
