STARDOM BECKONS FOR TEENAGE FOOTBALLER AFTER SIGNING FOR PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB

Blue is the colour - Ben is now a professional footballer

Hats off to teenage footballer Ben Grist who has signed his first professional football contract - with Premier League side Leicester City. The 16-year-old wing-back  has been in impressive form for the under-18s since joining City from Grimsby Town in summer as a 'scholar'. However, he will remain a Mariners fan having supported them all his life. Ben is a former pupil of the King Edward VI School in Louth. His dad, Adam, of Little Cawthorpe, is a long-serving East Lindsey district councillor and cricket enthusiast, while his late grandfather, Roy, is a former Mayor of Louth.

Watched by his proud mum and dad, Ben signs on the dotted line
