RARE MARINERS PROGRAMMES SET TO FETCH UP TO £300 EACH AT FOOTBALL MEMORABILIA SALE

 

Two rare Mariners football programmes from yesteryear are up for grabs at a forthcoming auction of football memorabilia. One (Lot 502) is for the F.A. Cup semi-final, Wolverhampton Wanderers v Grimsby Town, played at Old Trafford on March 25, 1939. The other (Lot 372) is for the Arsenal v Grimsby Town F.A. Cup semi-final programme played at Huddersfield Town's Leeds Road ground on March 21, 1936. The pre-sale estimate is that each will sell for between £250 and £300.  More details of the sale, which is being held online over two days, December 1-2, from Graham Budd auctions: www.grahambuddauctions.co.uk. Sadly Town lost both matches - 0-5 v Wolves and 0-1 v The Gunners.
