HONOURING THOSE WHO FELL - CLEETHORPES SERVICE WAS SOLEMN, DIGNIFIED AND UPLIFTING

A solemn moment outside St Peter's Church in Cleethorpes this morning as the deputy mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Cllr Steve Beasant, Council lays a wreath in memory of those who fell in battle, thereby giving their today for our tomorrow. In the mild, sunny weather, the service was well attended as was the subsequent parade along Alexandra Road to the Memorial Gate. Similar services were held in Grimsby, Immingham and many adjacent villages. Below are more photographs from Cleethorpes of this important and moving occasion in the nation's calendar.
