A building and playground full of memories - what future for former primary school in Cleethorpes?

Many former staff and pupils will have fond - or not so fond - memories of their days at Bursar Street

WILL 2024 find a buyer - or tenant - for the former Bursar Street School and nursery in  Cleethorpes?

Considering its lively past where many generations of children took their first steps in the journey of life and learning, it is sad that it is now vacant.

The irregularly-shaped property is part two-storey and part single-storey, constructed of solid brick elevations beneath a series of pitched tiled and flat roofs.

The playground and car parking have access directly from Bursar Street with pedestrian access to Frederick Street.

In total, the site extends to 1.14 acres.

Currently on the books of  property agents PPH, the school is open to offers purchase or rent at a price to be determined by negotiation.

Although some former pupils and staff would be sad to see the school demolished, redevelopment of the site is obviously a possibility, subject to planning consent from North East Lincolnshire Council.
