Bradford Avenue - garages behind the wall and fence have been earmarked for the chop
A DECISION is due this week on a controversial proposal to build four new houses near the seafront in Cleethorpes.
Roger Burnett is keen to redevelop the site on Bradford Avenue of a block of 24 former lock-up garages which are now dilapidated beyond repair,
However, there have been objections from at least five neighbours fearful of potential parking congestion and/or of having their properties overlooked.
At a meeting of North East Lincolnshire Council's planning committee tomorrow (Wednesday), case officer Richard Limmer is recommending that consent should be granted.
In his report, he states: "It is considered that the proposed development will not cause any significant harm either to the neighbouring properties' residential amenities or to the character and appearance of the area."
