High hopes that redeveloped sports site will prove popular with residents |
AN unusual commercial opportunity has been unveiled by North East Lincolnshire Council - the concession to operate the redeveloped Clee Fields sports site off Ladysmith Road in Grimsby.
Two artificial grass pitches have now been laid, and the finishing touches are due to be applied soon to the changing facilities, car park, drainage and lighting.
Says NELC: "The facility will provide all-year-round football and rugby use for the community, including local clubs, leagues and schools, as well as the opportunity for hosting tournaments and events.
"A local or national operator is now being sought, with a view to taking on and running the site, with the initial contract running for five years ."
