Above: A free car park at the south end of Cleethorpes has become a popular - if unauthorised - stop-off point for motor homes and caravans. The downside is that the number of spaces for other motorists is reduced. North East Lincolnshire Council is on a double quest to identify to find suitable sites both for tourist motor-homes and for the Traveller community, but, so far, with no success.
Below: Visitors who stay overnight risk fines, though it is not known how often, if at all, these are imposed.
