MORE IMAGES RELEASED OF PROPOSED REVAMP OF FORMER CLEETHORPES THEME PARK

A further glimpse of what the future might hold for the former Pleasure Island theme park in Cleethorpes is reflected in these images supplied by developers YPG-Fab 2 and their consultants, Lichfields. The proposed hotel would consist of 146 bedrooms and conference facilities. There would also be some 250 holiday lodges and what is termed 'a family gaming centre'. The hotel would need to be constructed above ground level as a precaution against coastal flooding. There are even hopes of an access directly on to the foreshore and beach, though providing a crossing over (or under) the Buck Beck could provide a challenge. A planning application is being prepared in readiness for being submitted as soon as next month.
