COUNCIL PAT ON THE BACK FOR GRIMSBY FOOD PRODUCTION WORKERS - AND FOR BUS COMPANY

A NOTE of gratitude for Grimsby's increasingly busy food-processing firms has been sounded by North East Lincolnshire Council.

Says  portfolio holder for environment and transport Cllr Stewart Swinburn: “I should like to pass on my thanks to all the food production workers who are continuing to go to work alongside the emergency services and all other key workers and volunteers in response to the coronavirus sitation."

Meanwhile, NELC and its regeneration partner, Engie, held productive talks with Stagecoach East Midlands and Europarc businesses to ensure the regular 1, 2 and 20 services are continuing to run over the Easter holiday weekend to make sure workers can get to work.

Cllr Swinburn has also thanked Stagecoach East Midlands for continuing to deliver this service for the Europarc business community.

“Food production workers are essential to ensuring that the current high levels of demand for food are met across the UK," he adds.
