COUNCIL LEADER: IT HAS BEEN INSPIRING TO BE PART OF SUCH AN AMAZING SHARED RESPONSE

EVERY household in North East Lincolnshire is to receive a letter from council leader Cllr Philip Jackson over the next few days.

This will outline the support and information available to people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In total, more than 73,000 will be distributed in Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham, Waltham and adjacent villages.

Says Cllr Jackson: “While we’re hearing lots of great feedback about the information online, in the media, from local organisations, councillors and community volunteers, we know that a significant number of residents may not have seen any of this.

"As such, we think it’s important we produce a specific letter for every household.

“The decision to letter drop all households with this information is similar to that being taken by a number of other local authorities across the country.

It will ensure that everyone has sight of how to access the support available over the Bank Holiday and beyond.

“I would like to thank everyone again for following Government advice and staying at home whenever possible, and to the very many of our residents who are keeping North East Lincolnshire running.

"It has been inspiring to be part of such an amazing shared response - we will get through this crisis by continuing to work together.”
