ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET FOR HOSPITAL'S SUMMER FUN RUN THROUGH GRIMSBY

                                   
Roll on July 19 - these enthusiasts will be rarin' to put best foot forward  for the annual St Hugh's Fun Run 

IT'S countdown time on Grimsby's  annual St Hugh's Hospital Fun Run.


Open to anyone of all ages and abilities, the 1.2km event will take place at 9.30 am on Sunday July 19.

It will the sister event to the same day's  Ørsted Great Grimsby 10K race for more ambitious competitors. This starts at 10am.

Says Gary Allington, health promotion officer at St Hugh’s Hospital: “Health promotion and community events are an important part of our ethos.

“The fun run is a great way to promote being active to family groups, young people and those who wouldn’t normally take part in a running event.”

The fun run welcomes everyone from  parents  with pushchairs, toddlers and children, to older people and those with a disability.

All finishers will receive a medal and sweets.

Meanwhile, there are 5,000 places up for grabs for  the Ørsted Great Grimsby 10K.
