| Everone's a winner - that's for sure. The mayor celebrates with the Rock 'family' |
THE Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Cllr Steve Beasant, was joined by members of the Rock Foundation at Grimsby Town Hall for what he later described as "one of the most inspiring awards evenings" he had ever attended.
With a day venue in Heneage Road, Grimsby and a residential venue with café, shops and workshops at Caistor Top, The Rock Foundation has grown over 14 years from a small group of dedicated people to a 'mainstay' for scores of people with learning disabilities, giving them a place to grow.
Says Rock founder Pam Hodge: "This was our first opportunity to come together since the pandemic, and that made the night all the more special.
"I am so proud of all the students, some of whom have endured some stressful times over the the past couple of years."
