A WILD animal welfare organisation that had to close temporarily because of a funding crisis is set to reopen later this month thanks to donations.

According to Cleethorpes Wildlife Volunteer Rescue, it intends to re-open, albeit with a reduced service on July 20 or July 21.

In  a social media message, it states: "Thank you to all who have got us so far already.

"We thought our closure would be for months, but we are now able to look at opening back up, one step at a time!"

Most common admissions/rescues are understood to be:

• Birds of Prey & Owls

• Migratory birds

• Bats

• Gamebirds

• Garden birds

• Gulls and seabirds

• Marine mammals

• Pigeons

• Rabbits and hares

• Seabirds

• Waterfowl

• Foxes/badgers

The organisation is still looking for further  support and can be contacted at: CleethorpesWildlifeRescue@outlook.com.
