THE unfolding political situation in Westminster - particularly in Downing Street - is being watched hawk-like by Great Grimsby MP Lia Nici.
She is the staunchest supporter of Boris Johnson, and one of his parliamentary private secretaries, a function of which is to cheerlead for the PM.
No one else is doing much cheering this week, but could Ms Nici be in line for a position in the Government as a reward for her continuing loyalty?
She is too inexperienced for a post in the Cabinet, but she may be offered a position as a junior minister.
Meanwhile, the position regarding Cleethorpes MP Martin Vickers is less clear.
Although Mr Johnson recently appointed him as trade envoy to the West Balkans, his previous support for a man he once championed is now less certain.
The two local MPs have this week been lying low, and their Twitter accounts, as of this morning, are idle.
