GRIMSBY's former Labour MP, Melanie Onn, has revealed her latest initiative.
She is soon to launch her own podcast where she will interview "people of interest" across a wide spectrum from politics to sport, from showbiz to the environment.
Since being ousted from Parliament in the Labour rout of December 2019, Ms Onn has become deputy chief executive of Renewable UK.
Her role was to travel the country banging the drum for renewable energy, most notably wind power.
But because of the pandemic, her activities have been curtailed and, by her own admission, she has been "watching too much TV".
However, developing a personal podcast has taught her new media skills - recording, editing, intro-ing, re-recording and seeking out potential interviewees.
"It all takes a bit of time,"she says. "But, yes, the podcast is coming soon."
Ms Onn has not yet revealed the launch date of her new venture nor who might be her first guest.
Nor, incidentally, has she revealed if she has any ambition, come the next General Election, to relaunch her political career.
