Restaurant proposal could lead to facelift for unattractive building
A NEW restaurant is in prospect for Cleethorpes.
North East Lincolnshire Council is expected to grant planning permission for conversion of both storeys of the former charity shop on St Peter's Avenue at its junction with Isaac's Hill.
Located at one of the gateways to the resort, the proposed change of use could give the building, which was built in about 1962, a more welcoming appearance.
Its last use was as a British Heart Foundation retail outlet for secondhand furniture and electrical items.
The applicant is Waltham entrepreneur Mr S. Lawlor.
