HOW SAFE IS A180 CLEETHORPE ROAD BRIDGE? ENGINEERS WILL SOON FIND OUT

SAFETY checks are to be carried later this month on Grimsby's A180 Cleethorpe Road bridge.

A full structural inspection is scheduled to take place on Wednesday October 14.

To safeguard  those carrying out the inspection, temporary two-way traffic lights will be required between 9.30am and 3.30pm at the following locations:

* Royal Street, under Cleethorpe Road bridge, near the junction of Eastside Road

* Railway Place, under Cleethorpe Road bridge, near the junction of Cleethorpe Road

No road closures will be required to complete the inspection.

The inspection will be carried out on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council by specialist contractor, GCS Ltd, and overseen by engineers at Engie.
