DANGER, DO NOT CLIMB ON ROCKS = WE LIKE A CHALLENGE, THE RISKIER THE BETTER!

The message is clear - but not always heeded

YOUNG people will be young people!

Three years' after the rock armour whale's tail was installed at the north end of Cleethorpes Promenade, it has become almost as much a feature as the pier.

Comprised of 40,000 tonnes of rocks imported from Norway, it serves a double purpose - helping both to reduce the impact of waves on the sea wall and to stabilise the sand.

Or should that read treble purpose?

For it is also a magnet for some young people willing to risk life and limb by dancing from one end to the other.

Here's hoping on hope that no one slips or stumbles - the consequences could be serious.
