| Abey - the high-quality home furnishings retailer is to reduce its showroom space |
ONLINE competition and other pressures have prompted Humberston furniture retailer Abey to seek a reduction in the size of its showroom on the Wilton Road industrial estate.
The firm has secured planning permission to sub-divide part of its premises into three business units.
In a statement, Abey's agent, Dieter Nelson, says: "Given the competition of online and discounted furniture stores, there is a need to diversify the use of the building and downsize the scale of the retail showroom area."
