Not a flower or shrub in sight - and the brickwork is decaying |
HOPES that long-neglected flower beds in Cleethorpes might be restored in time for this spring and summer have faded.
Located at the point where Trinity Road meets Highgate and Sandringham Road, the four walled beds have been neglected for the best part of 20 years.
At this week's meeting of North East Lincolnshire Council's tourism scrutiny panel, members heard that their maintenance was the responsibility not of NELC but of the Lincolnshire Housing Partnership.
The ornamental beds are within the Croft Baker ward, one of whose ward representatives is Cllr Bob Callison.
He intimated that, subject to the consent of the LHP, he might initiate a makeover - but not until the "back end" of summer.
