New look for south end of Cleethorpes Country Park after council clears excess reed growth
See how the south end of Cleethorpes Country Park has been transformed. Following grumbles that the watery perimeters of the park were not being adequately maintained, North East Lincolnshire Council snapped to. Contractors have removed much of the reed growth to aid water flow and enhance the views. The response of park-goers has been overwhelming favourable. The work was done outside the breeding season to save disturbance to any nesting sedge warblers, water rails or other bird species.
