There has been a blast for motorists (such as the driver of this Mercedes) who have decided to adopt the new designated cycleway on Grimsby's Moody Lane for their own use. Says North East Lincolnshire Council's portfolio holder for the environment and transport, Cllr Stewart Swinburn: “It is disappointing that this new infrastructure is being abused. It has been installed to encourage a greater uptake of cycling and walking. Blatant disregard for the rules of the road puts everyone at risk and must stop immediately. We will be increasing enforcement patrols."
