Mud, mud glorious mud! But they're probably not too happy about it at Waltham allotments site

 

Oh dear, what a muddy mess! The weekend scene at the Station Road allotments

ACTIVITY on the allotments site on Station Road in Waltham has been curtailed at the start of this month after part of the access was chewed up by a contractor's vehicle.

It is understood that the parish council commissioned the contractor to remove a huge 'mountain' of debris at the top end of the site.

But such were the conditions in the aftermath of heavy rain that the ground was chewed up.

It is hoped that drier weather will soon prevail, allowing the green-fingered folks once more to crack on with preparation of their plots for the busy growing season ahead.
