Imminent arrival of New Look fashion store will provide retail boost for Grimsby's Freshney Place

 

Denim skirt by New Look - likely to provide a hit with Grimsby's female shoppers


THE fashion retail scene in Grimsby is set for a boost this autum.

The New Look chain has acquired premises in the Freshney Place shopping centre and plans to open this autumn.

As well as providing apparel for the fashionable, both female and male, the store will create 10 jobs.    

The retailer will occupy a large unit opposite JD Sports.  

Peter Rodgers, Head of Retail at New Look said: "We are really happy to be coming back with a store presence in Grimsby.

"We look forward to welcoming our customers through our doors again." 

The return of New Look  marks an important early stage in the ongoing revitalisation of this part of Top Town.
  
A cinema, new market hall and leisure and food outlets are also in the pipeline.  

Enthuses Amanda Austin, centre director at Freshney Place: "We are delighted that New Look has chosen to invest in Freshney Place Shopping Centre. 

"As the largest covered shopping centre in North East Lincolnshire, we host a wide variety of leading high street brands. 

"There is no question that New Look will be a hit with our visitors and a great addition to the centre."

It is not known yet if a celebrity will be invited to cut the ribbon to open the store
