GOOD NEWS FOR PADDLERS (BUT NOT FOR PIGEONS) AS CLEETHORPES POOL RE-OPENS

Probably not very palatable. This woodpigeon seemed unimpressed after taking a drink from Cleethorpes paddling pool earlier today. That's because the water. has been chemically treated ahead of the pool's re-opening this morning. The  pool had been temporarily closed because of a filter pump failure but it is now re-open from 11am to 6pm daily. The pump has not been replaced but the water has been treated so as not to pose a health risk to paddlers.
