INTRODUCED REPTILE IS MAKING ITSELF AT HOME AT RESORT BOATING LAKE

Taking advantage of the sunshine - the Cleethorpes terrapin

THE appearance  of an unusual creature has been providing a talking point at Cleethorpes Boating Lake .

The terrapin (or is it a turtle?) has spent long hours sunning itself and watching the world go by.

It is thought to have been introduced - illegally - after having outgrown someone's aquarium.

Whether it would survive a prolonged cold winter - on where the lake freezes over - is open to question.

It is thought to be the only reptile living in or around the lake.
