A FACELIFT is on the cards for the former O'Neills pub building on Grant Street in Cleethorpes.
Following its demise as a hostelry, the property was bought by North East Lincolnshire Council who were keen to demolish it to open up a view to the sea from what a prominent vantage point in the resort.
It is now known if the authority still owns the property, but the demolition option now seems to have been scrapped.
Earlier this month, planners approved proposals for various alterations to the ground floor including installation of new doors and window frames.
The consent could pave the way for an announcement on the building's future - for instance, whether it will revert to being a pub.
It is understood the refurbishment will be undertaken by Premier Window Systems, of Mill Place, Cleethorpes.
The site is within the Cleethorpes Central Seafront Conservation Area.
