Sorry, we are closing - sad message in the windows |
THE ever-changing retail scene in Cleethorpes will move into its next phase later this spring.
Sadly, it looks like farewell to The Works - a shop which always carried a range of new books and board games plus products of interest to artists and homecraft enthusiasts.
On the other side of St Peter's Avenue, the much-missed Wilko homeware and gardening products store is likely to become a secondhand shop - tipped to be children's charity Barnardo's.
Even while finishing touches are being put to the revamp, pre-owned clothing and other goods have been arriving by the sackful.
Elsewhere on the avenue, other arrivals include an additional vape shop and another hairdresser.
There is no word yet on who might occupy the Lloyds Bank premises when it closes at the end of this year.
Say what you will about, Cleethorpes' main shopping centre, it is nothing if not dynamic.
Where once there was a Wilko, there will now be a charity shop |
Already the goods are arriving - pity the staff who will have to sort out this little lot |
