Did NELC really need to splash out council taxpayers' money on six identical signs in same place?

Spelling it out. In case you miss one, there are five others on same site

WAS  there ever such a waste of council taxpayers' money?

North East Lincolnshire Council has just splashed out thousands on installing no fewer than six identical signs in the same location outside the Meridian Showground in Cleethorpes.

What makes the expenditure more unforgivable is that, elsewhere on the seafront - notably on the walk between the leisure centre and the Fitties -  there are dozens of other signs, all of which have been in a state of disrepair for more than a quarter of a century.

Without more ado, NELC's three Haverstoe ward councillors should get on top of this situation as should the authority's new Cleethorpes-based leader and his portfolio holders for tourism and for finance.

Danger! Of what? Anyone got any ideas?
