Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue has today urged beachgoers, especially those with dogs, to give a wide berth to any seals that are resting on the sand. The appeal comes in the wake of an incident on Boxing Day when a seal was 'crowded' - potentially causing stress - by adults, children and dogs. As a result a section of the beach had to be cordoned off. The charity has advised that a minimum distance of 100 metres should be observed to prevent disturbance. Happily, no harm came to the seal in the photo, and it returned to the sea at dusk. Photos: Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue/facebook.
