PLANS have been unveiled for a major residential scheme on rough grassland south of Grimsby's Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital.

If approved, it could lead to the construction of almost 500 houses and apartments  - many of them for disabled persons, retirees or  students.

The application has been submitted this week by Hodson Architects of Cleethorpes on behalf of developer Kevin Stevens of E5 Living (Grimsby) Ltd.

No decision will be made pending full consultation with nearby residents - for example those living in Forsythia Drive, Matthew Telford Way and Juniper Way - plus other interested parties.
