THE LADY WHO WILL HELP FLY THE FLAG FOR CLEETHORPES TOURISM

                                                

MEET Joanne Blakey - the woman appointed to spearheaded tourism in Cleethorpes.

Jo is a business advisor with the firm, e-factor, which won the grant-aided contract to provided a "visitor economy specialist" for the resort.

From her base at the e-factor offices in St Peter's Avenue, she will have a responsibility to support existing tourism-related businesses and encourages start-up enterprises. There will be clearly-defined targets

Her background is in retail - she worked for Lloyds Pharmacy.

Jo, whose appointment was welcomed this morning at a North East Lincolnshire Council tourism scrutiny panel meeting, will be invited to give a presentation to one of the panel's  forthcoming meetings.


She is expected  to work closely with the current tourism manager for NELC, Sophie Wignall (below)
