OVER-WINTERING GULL HAS FLOWN TO UK FROM NORWEGIAN CAPITAL

THIS black-headed gull that has spent winter at Cleethorpes - either at the boating lake or at  the Buck Beck car park  - has Norwegian orgins.

This has been established by the data on the separate  rings on its legs.

According to researchers, it was ringed as a young bird in the Oslo area in  2011.
