'Good' enough for a dip. Environment Agency's green light for Cleethorpes and Humberston bathing waters

Come on in! Swimmers in Cleethorpes

BATHING water at Cleethorpe and Humberston has been judged "good" on the basis of samples taken between May 1 and September 30 this year.

This is not as impressive as the "excellent" rating achived by the two beaches four years ago, but it is better than the two other categories - "sufficient" and "poor".

According to the Environment Agency, a total  302 bathing waters in England met the Excellent standard of the Bathing Water Regulations, while 12 did not meet the minimum standard and were classified as Poor.
